I had just written my very first iPhone application, Jelly SMS, when i began putting together my own website. I built a very static webpage highlighting the key features of my application. However, I soon realised that I needed something more. I needed a good site that would market my iPhone app and make it stand out among the competition.
That's when i got in touch with the guys from Irish Web Developers. These guys are great to deal with and very friendly. My requirements were:
- I wanted a blog so I could post about new features and create a help category
- I wanted a demo of my application to begin when the user loaded the home page.
- I wanted a funky design and something that would appeal to the hip new iPhone app market.
- I needed the ability to be able to monitor statistics about which countries most traffic was coming from, how many hits per day etc
- I needed it within 2 weeks
Not only did the guys do what I needed - they actually went much further. I left the design and graphics totally in their hands. What they came up with in the end blew me away. So much so that the graphics they created actually made it into my iPhone application!
They created a site built around a Wordpress blog which makes it easy for me to post and reply to comments and questions from my users. On the home page, they created a flash demo which showcases my application as if it were running on a real phone.
I can use analytics to see all statistics about my visitors and track how many of them actually click on the 'Buy' links.
In the following weeks and months, they also were on hand to help tweak the site to make it run perfectly without any issue.
I have to say I would recommend Irish Web Developers. They offer a hassle free service and top class communication with their clients.
